So that's my new song for you! I love writing songs for Jesus! Unfortunately, these inspirations often only come in the wee hours of the night (or morning, rather).

I love to write songs for Jesus, because I believe music is really the medium through which the Holy Spirit will ride on in this generation, to reach the millions out there. No song is ever too lousy or simple to glorify the name of Jesus, and I believe the world will one day be transformed by the music of the church of the living God.

The times when I'm feeling alot, i.e. when I'm down, facing challenges that seem unsurmountable, reflecting upon my life, crying out to Jesus...or when I'm really happy, thankful for all that Jesus has done to my life, my testimony...These are the times I pen these feelings into words, into songs. (Poems will do too! =))

Everyone should endeavour to record the songs that is placed in your heart, as you walk with Jesus! Share your songs with me too yea? Believe they will be a tremendous blessing to me! Don't deprive the world of heaven's melody! =)

By the way, any kind soul to help me find chords for my song? Hee...Thanks!

"One day, you will write beautiful songs. The melody of heaven, the splendor of the King, the genuine nature of His love, will be made manifest to the world who cry out for a touch of the beauty of Jesus. There will be a restoration, there will be an anointing that will fall from heaven. Sing about Jesus...sing all about Jesus..."

My Everything
I just want to sing
Of the beauty of Heaven
Of my King

And I, just want to love You more
To give my all for You

When I turn around and look inside
I stand in awe amazed
Of the ways You've come and changed my life
Of the beauty of your grace

How could I ever be deserving of Your glory
With all my hands had done
Why would You ever believe in dying
For one so stained by sin
But Your ways are higher, You see the future
And You've come to live in me
Now my life's completed, in the fullness of Your love
The joy of my salvation

Jesus
You mean everything
You are the joy, the strength of my soul

Jesus
I'll give everything
My life surrendered to You

Somewhere, someplace, somehow. People are hurt. In fact, everyone is or has been hurt, some point in their lives. Some cry, some laugh it through, some bury it, some ignore it...

Really admire the leaders in my life. I'm sure they have been hurt, but its true that the higher one goes, the more lonely the journey can get sometimes. They may always be the ones counselling, loving, taking care of people around them, being strong for the rest, but what about themselves?

Love cannot be demanded, but Jesus chose to give it in an ever-continuous measure. It never runs out. I am glad Jesus takes care of my leaders. When they care for people, an even greater careR is taking care of them. That's the promise. The awesome rest we can all find in Jesus that man can never supply.

Somewhere, someplace, somehow, love will find a way.

When I'm weak, you are strong.
You're my feet when I can't move on.
You're the light in the dark.
You're the whisper inside my heart...

Sometimes friends may not be who you want them to be. In fact, many a times, they may fail to be there for you. Sometimes, it may feel draining, one may feel tired, to take care of friends. I know, because I am an imperfect friend too.

But Jesus is really the ultimate best friend. No one can beat the way He sees and understands things. Turn to Jesus. Be dependent on Him, not on your friends.

Friends can only assist, but Jesus will direct.

The key to victory is to run towards the battlefield and fight valiantly, knowing full well the promises of who is the Commander- in- chief.

Engage. Fight to win.

Do unto others what you would like done unto yourself. You cannot expect something unless you are able, or will give it to others.

Simple, yet profound truth.

When we hold something against someone, are we really hurting them or is it ourselves we are really hurting?

Jesus frequently spoke of the need to forgive others in order to walk the narrow path. The quicker we forgive, the easier it is. We must do it before the problem gets rooted in our emotions. It will be much more difficult to pull out if it has long, strong roots. Holding grudges against other people does not change them, but it does change us. It makes us sour, bitter, miserable, and difficult to be around.

Think about that in the wise words of Joyce Meyer...how true is that?

I really miss you. Seems like every small thing & detail reminds me of you.

But God is very good. He never fails & in Him perfect love is found. Who else is able to exchange all that pain you had to endure for eternal joy in Heaven?

Was just looking at some old albums and clearing out Popo's things. I realised how blessed I was to have her in my life. The way she collects all my photos, all the mother's day cards me & Jie made for her...she really loves me.

I wonder how long it may take for me to get over this. Never thought I will miss her so much and so deeply. But Jesus is really sweet. Everytime I think of her, an amazing peace will saturate my heart. Though there is grief, yet there is a deeper comfort that surpasses that. I will make her VERY proud of me. =)

People do need the Lord. Now. Let's all be love seed planters in this generation.

Zoe (pronounced ZOH-ee) is Darryl and Wanda's first child. Born cranky and loud, she dominated the MacPherson household for the first three years of her life. After having every burp, bubble and babble photographed or taped, Zoe came face-to-face with the cold reality of being the older sibling when her baby brother, Hamish (Hammie, for short) was born.

Zoe is a good big sister, she has a fairly large vocabulary for her age, and wants to be a cheerleader/veterinarian/doctor/ballerina BarbieĀ® when she grows up. Now that she is five years old she is in preschool and will begin kindergarten in the fall.

When little Zoe MacPherson was born, she was the darling of the comics page. The daily antics of her parents, Wanda and Darryl, struggling to learn the nuances of being a mom and dad struck millions as all-too-real and all-too-hilarious! As Zoe has grown into a preschooler -- and welcomed baby brother Hamish into the family -- the MacPherson clan has become an even bigger part of our daily lives. Even people who aren't parents cherish Baby Blues for its amusing artwork and spirited stories.

Through it All

Through it all I know
That God is in control
Like the sun after the storm
His love will come shining through
Yes I know, His love for me
Is greater than all my anxieties
Like a child in His arms
He will carry me through

This song is nice yea? Will be nicer if you know the melody, which some may know. Otherwise, I can sing it to you the next time we see each other! Haha, pity I don't know how to upload audio clips(or if they can be done...).
God is good, all the time. All the time, God is still GOOD! =)

Spirit of a giver...

It's so true. The loss of someone very close to you does cause you to think about life, and push you on to do greater things with the time you have. Just like someone says, "live life to the max!". The reflective me is the reason for the birth of this blog...

2 Tim 4:7~ "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

This is something I want to say to Jesus one day when I meet Him in Heaven. I want my life to count, and I want Daddy God to be proud of me. What about you?

@4:12 PM

Popo, you'll always be the dearest person in my life besides Gong Gong. Without your love, patience, and care you have selflessly showered upon me, I will not be who I am today, allowing the glory of God to shine through me day by day.

You'll be remembered for your dedication to change lives- my life in particular.

The times you held my hand and walked me to kindergarden, shouted "long-long-wu" and imitated the sound of a train so that I'll get into line as a happy kid while everyone else was crying, joined the 2 side armchairs together so that I could sleep gleefully in them, chased Jiejie off my favourite mattress so I could 'win'...

Times when you cooked my favourite corn soup, ensured roast chicken was on the dinner table every special Friday, just for me; sat side by side making tang yuan from plain old pink-coloured dough...

Times when you accompanied me to wait for my schoolbus when I was an innocent Primary one kid, as you did your morning exercise alongside; dragged me in taxi to my dental appointments(something that you'll never spend money on), ensured breakfast was ready for me to take to school...

Of course, times when you and Gong Gong brought me to Science Centre, Bird Park; the time when you fell and hit your head on the esclator and it bleed so much, all because you were chasing after naughty little me(which made me repentant but for a day)...

These times may well have been around a decade ago, but the memories remain well alive in my heart, now and forevermore.

I've tried to make amends in the past decade by being filial and visiting you frequently, letting you have someone to share your thoughts with and dote on, but I know I can never repay you enough for all you've given to me.

It was extremely painful looking at you morph from a healthy, active woman who loved to go for walk-and-jogs, someone who loved handicraft(especially during CNY when red packets came into handy to hone your skills); to someone gradually deteriorating, ravaged by stroke, diabetes, pneumonia, renal failure, pain, and worst of all, the inability to speak anymore overnight.

It has been almost a year since I last was able to hear you speak. I know, Popo, that there is a million and one things you want to tell me, judging from the look you gave and the tears that collect in your eyes whenever I prayed for you, even during the days nearing your demise, but you could not. But I want to tell you, it's okay, because Jesus has heard you and He understands all you are going through. We love you.

Looking at the pain you had to endure for months on end, a part of me yearned to pray that Daddy God would come and bring you home soon, but at the same time, I was selfish and afraid, and wanted you for myself. I could not imagine the heartache of losing you, my dearest Popo.

I was angry with myself for not being able to hear you out, it was such a simple thing, but I was rendered so helpless everytime I see you struggle.

You have finally passed on. 15 May 2006, 1839hours, at NUH. You have said your temporary goodbye to Mummy, Ben Kaofu and me. I will always remember the single stalk of pink carnation that I presented to you on 14 May 2006, the last Mother's Day I could celebrate for you.

I will remember you for being my life changer, Popo dearest. The scars on your hand remain, pierced by countless needles; yet the candle flame still burns strong, and the flowers continue to adorn your beauty, made manifest in your love. Goodbye Popo.

I love you and always will. Till the day we meet again in Heaven, I know you will open your arms wide and welcome me beside Jesus, with that smile on your beautiful face again, held by a peace that has surpassed all understanding and pain.

I look forward to that day.

I promise you that: 1)Mummy and Ben Kaofu will be with me looking for you in Heaven one day, 2)I will be the best I can be in my singing and let the name of Jesus be lifted on high, & 3)be strong and not give up in any circumstance.

I love you, Popo.

Signed,
your beloved granddaughter.
