@1:21 AM
Once upon a time, there lived Brinjal Princess' (she's gonna kill me if she sees this) Zebra-ed Piggie. His imagination got the better of him when he decided to be a brave young piggie and dive head-1st into a flowery wok...
And became deep-fried. Suckling pig! Perfect gift for hungry people in the office like me. Thanks for the treat! =p
Okay, that's what you do when you need entertainment at work. At least it was kidnap of Zebra-ed piggie and not murder.
Today I learnt something cool called the "Thought-Action Repertoire". This brings into perspective what we've always been reading from the bible about bringing every thought into captivity.
We say that whatever we focus on will enlarge, whatever we fail to focus on or avoid will diminish. In the same way, every THOUGHT must be CONSTANTLY focussed by ACTION! And the only way to overcome -ve thoughts that so often cripple us is to face them with opposite actions. In other words, don't just sit there and be despondent and overwhelmed and emo-fied every time these -ve thoughts come! Like we learnt in Getting Started BS, in the final analysis, there are only 2 alternatives: to overcome, or BE overcomeD. What we need to do to overcome is to incoporate physical actions: stand up, stand tall, and walk away; pray; use the WOG against these thoughts; talk to a friend who is strong enough to help pull you out of these thoughts and not remain in them...just be proactive!
We have all heard our fair share of awesome and life-defining sermons. We are blessed no doubt by them, but yet, how many of us have been changed by them? If your mind says "I am now more connected (example only lah...;)) or I want to be more diligent", then your body has to manifest these words by taking action, otherwise change will never be on the menu. And that explains why we hear the best sermons but still don't see our lives changing!
So now...I promise to write that personal report and stay connected alot more. ;) PB, I owe you a treat if I don't do this by this Sunday 2359. Oops what did I just say...

@3:51 PM
On Sat night, after dinner @ Bedok with Diana (like finally! We managed to have some time to fellowship and talk! Haha! =) But forgot to take pics for memories...) I went to the below mentioned...
TOA: around 11pm.

With her (yes, her again...haha!)...cannot help it, we love spending time together mah...

Reason for going out: coz Phoebe was hungry for flowers (i.e. hua1 chi1). Haha, no lah! Joking, don't take me for real. Who ask you want to pose like that.

And I was...simply...thirsty. =)

You should watch
AIR BUDDIES! The talk of the town show now for us.
It's about a family of Goldens with Daddy Buddy,
Mummy Molly, and
5 simply adorable kiddies known as the
hip-hopper cool dude B-Dawg (who wears a super bling bling "B" on his neck),
sweetie pie girl-power Rosebud (She is one gal who needs her beauty sleep. I love her!),
mellow and zen Bud-Dha (he is my fave coz he likes to go 'Ummmmm...' early in the morning. He says he is absorbing positive energy!),
dirt-loving Mud-Bud (he is simple and doesn't like to bathe, nuff's said.) and the
big fella, food-loving BudderBall (He always goes in search for food and ends up getting lost...)
So why did I mention that? Coz...presenting a replica of BudderBall! Acting okay, acting. That's our White Chocolate Coffee Brownie Cake with Ice Cream, ordered it @ 12mn.

And replica of Bud-_ _ _. Haha, Phoebe, look at the dashes. This shot was taken alot of times coz I was am-chio-ing through alot of them.

I like this shot with the meteor-looking thing flying past!

A shot of the place...we were sitting outdoors.

We left Dempsey at 1230++am satisfied, bound to return soon. I thought Dempsey, being so near my place, wouldn't pose any problem. However...reaching the busstop I realised I had missed all buses and Phoebe was already no longer with me.
So, I decided to walk home. Yes, you read right, in my 8cm (I measured when I got home) red Guess heels, pictured below. The walk proved ALOT longer than I imagined, coz I was in my heels. Took me a whole
50mins, but I enjoyed the time alone so much. Remembered I used to do this in JC times, walking home from Bugis in the evenings. This time round, the night breeze was awesome and it was the best thing to do to spend time with myself like that.
Me time. I like it. Will do this soon again. Haha! Kids watching, please do not try this coz it's late at night and dangerous. I had to keep watching my back just in case. =p
When I reached home, my feet were stained with red ink from my heels! Imagine if it rained...

@12:03 AM
It has been a busy week. Tons of pictures taken, lots of fun and activity involved, so here goes the week past in pictorial summary!
*************************************************************************************************
Last Sunday...
After a lovey-dovey Sunday morning service, E348 headed down to Val's house for our annual lou hei. Of course, one of the main reasons that were unknown to 2 people was that...we were going to sing them a song. More details later. But 1st, check out the action and speed in our version of lou hei:
That's when Adeline and me had to purposely push all the veggies away, so that the note wrapped in plastic at the bottom of the tray could be seen. It was planted there to say...:"It's time to sing a song". So as prompted earlier, we chorused into pretending it was a time to sing CNY songs, specifically "Mei tiao da jie xiao xiang...mei ge ren de zui li, dou shi SHENG RI KUAI LE!" Then came the b'day song for our February babies!
Happy Birthday ladies!
With B'day gal no.1, the gorgeous (and eeeee**;)) Jamie:
With B'day gal no. 2, the cheery and bubbly Zhinian:
The family minus those who pangseh us, i.e. YQ, Lewen, Kingsley and Mark. Tsktsk...

Part 2...evening programme. The 2 of us met up and headed down to Dempsey's B and J! Was it a loooonnng walk from the busstop. The ice cream was worth it. It was my 1st time to Dempsey proper (other than having gone to Samy's curry once with my ex-colleagues), and I must say now I understand the hype about Dempsey. Love that place. New haunt to find me at.
Yes, I was bored. I am a woman of many hats. =)
And yes, I am a nice friend to Phoebe.
But she chomped on the waffle so quickly! What about me?! (Haha, okay, story mah...)
Was getting bored after some time...
But something...just something perked me up.
So was she perked up too...
Uh hah! It was thy fortune cookies! We ate 2 each...guess who got what. Prizes to be advised.
Dempsey Hill at night...romantic huh? Hee...
Phoebe told me to stand here and pose lah. Don't know for what.
Put 2 bored ladies together, plus a cool hp that can take interesting frames, and what do you get? Check out the following:
Cool huh?! ;)

Then on Monday night...
It was time for TTT Masquerade Party 2008 @ Raffles Hotel.
There were many beautiful masks, but I decided to choose one of the simpler ones...
Us ladies: Zoe, Victoria, Samantha, Huimin, Xuemin.
With Brian, my kenna-sabo-for-1st-game partner. *Pose!*
Vic and me!
Cheers to Table 8 people, and to a well-organised event! Turned out rather well...we had fun and it was not as uncomfortable as it appeared to be. 3 cheers to the organisers.
Let's keep in touch, and thanks for the company!

Moving on to Thursday...
It's Valentine's Day! One thing I REALLY love about Embryo's staff is that they are all very generous and sweet people who know how to be happy and hype it up. Decorating Christmas tree to become a CNY-based one, buying CNY goodies for everyone, and now...food and roses for V day! =)
This is Zi Juan, the sweetest lady who bought these marshmellow hearts that stick together! Awwww...
This is representative of the 'san jiao lian', i.e. love triangle. Haha! 3 hearts stuck together.
Two-hearts-as-one.
With Angeline...
With Angel...
With Carrina and Vivienne...
Will you be my Valentine? Haha! No lah, actually it's to cover my blemish on my forehead.
More chocolates from the various gals...actually someone wanted to bring wine but...haha!
This is for my date of the night! Took 2 hours to stitch thy heart together, stuff cotton wool in and stick all the mini sequins on one by one...zzz...but alas it was done! And yay, she liked it! =)
And this is what she gave me...she said I like bling bling stuff...umm. And yes, as your 'card' says, 2009 better be more...umm, exciting yea? Haha!
More pictures to be up soon, in the meantime, enjoy the rest of the week!

@10:58 PM
Day 1 of CNY! Turned into a day of intense photo-taking coz everyone was amazed at the various frames my hp camera was capable of. There were many more exciting shots, but I have been forbidden from posting them(sigh)...just coz they were too candid to be only seen through my hp. Before we left the house, Jie and myself discovered this super mouldy orange. The mould was so erm...cool that we had to take a shot of it.

And yes, that's off to the 1st stop at my Daddy's mum's place! Wore red dress, shoes and bag this year. Realised it was abit too loud...argh!

Mummy has always enjoyed taking pictures with Daddy, and so I helped satisfy that craving. This is a frame that she really loved from my hp. Not bad huh? ;)

Okaaayy...

Everyone got fascinated with my hp's functions and were playing with it, while I was happily being entertained by the results.

And taadaa! Daddy! Haha, he is a really good sport to let me take this pic. =) I love parents who are not afraid to show that they can let down their hair and have fun too. Why be so serious and uptight right?

Quan2 Jia1 Fu2. We take family shots every year, at the exact same position. Old habits sure die hard.
And that's my Daddy's side of relatives.

Someone called for a candid shot but seemed like not many cooperated. Argh.

Finally going home! Like the sunshine tones in this pic.

Happy CNY everyone! It's finally my year...the
year of the Rat! We've come full cycle!
