For day and night will not cease.

Life is a package of seasonal variation. Enjoy the light of day, but when night comes, allow Daddy God to do His work. When night comes, it's time to rest and sleep.

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you shall reap if you do not lose heart.

Key to living successfully: trust where the Compass points.

I CAN'T wait to go to New Zealand!!! Haha, guess what I just did? I went to google the following: "skydiving in New Zealand scary?". This is going to be a honeymoon of heart-stopping moments indeed! How about 360deg turns at 'disorientating speeds' on a jetboat? Or black water rafting through a staglamite cave with giant grasshoppers, giant spiders, 2metre-long eels and nary a source of light except for the glow coming from erm...glow worms on the roof of the caves? And add on the one I may consider the ultimatum, skydiving. All these in winter temperatures! Lalalala!

Check this out as how skydiving was described on the web:

"It takes a certain kind of person to step out of an aircraft at 15,000 feet into thin air. It takes courage. The fact you are harnessed by space age materials to an experienced qualified Jumpmaster makes little difference. You step out that aircraft door and for some 60 seconds you plummet towards the ground at 200 kph. Terminal Velocity. The fact that your Jumpmaster will deploy the reinforced tandem canopy for you makes little difference. Nor the fact that it has been packed by a qualified parachute packer, nor the fact that you are equipped with a reserve chute, with a cybernetic activation system make any difference.

The first skydive is a scary thing. You can expect sensory overload as your mind/soul/body fight against every natural self preservatory urge.

The impact on your life that the act you are now contemplating will have cannot be overstated. The personal challenge is immense. Immense, because the only thing preventing you from enjoying this, one of the most primal life shaping experiences, is your own mind. You must choose. To go through life able to say 'yes, I did it', or to go through life knowing that you had the opportunity, but you turned it down and walked away from becoming the complete person you could have been."

*Woah hahaha...the description truly sounds like a sermon...*
I CAN"T WAIT!!!

It has been too long that we've been rebranding the bible that we're reading. Think about it: how many times have you, in times of trial, kept reciting a verse or 'slogan' from the WOG to yourself till it 'psychos' you into positivity? Or gone straight to the dictionary via Google to define certain terms in the WOG, instead of to God Himself to clarify the logos with rhema? Too conveniently, we have taken words from the bible at surface level and diluted God's Word with our own perspectives. It's time that we need to read the bible with Jesus-tinted glasses: What Jesus' definition with every term that was written?

Jesus-defined, not dictionary-defined.

God's been speaking to me alot the past few days about growth. By this, I mean personal growth as a living creature. Alot of times when we go through certain challenges, we want out at the soonest possible time. And that's perfectly normal. Yet, think about it. Compare those times when you really was delivered from your circumstances versus those times where you were stuck in there for seemingly eons...was there a difference? Definitely, it must have felt good to be delivered and relieved of all the pain instantaneously, yet, did you take any lesson out of it? Was there a lesson deposited in your life, a mistake made that you know you'll never repeat?

Sometimes, the school of hard knocks works. Bitter medicine can really work better. As much as I hate the circumstances that seem to have taken an extended holiday in my life sometimes, I know these are the things that will teach me well. Staying in the valley and experiencing life there have taught me patience, and have helped me grow to have a bigger perspective on life.

As a leader, I need to remind myself that my role is not to be the mother hen that guards the chicks from the eagle and to shelter them from all storms. My role should be akin to that of a guardian angel, showing the way, yet giving the sheep free liberty to experience falling, then aiding them in getting back on track again. It's another stage of life: we've all grown up, and it's time to experience and learn life's lessons on our own, and allow revelations to come our way through our personal study of God's Word.

So c'mon, let's allow life's experiences to share some lessons with us. And let's be bold and courageous to be a student today. Are you ready to walk through and experience for yourself?

You are way stronger than you think you really are. When you centre your thoughts on Christ, despite how circumstances try to pull your focus away.

It's so easy to go down that road, but it takes a warrior to fight on and not be distracted by the ocassional cuts, wounds and bruises that come along. The battle needs you. To win.

And it's going to require EVERY part of you to press on.

Meet Floppy & Huggies! They are both into hearts. =)
Surprises. Yay! Pink flowers. Yayy! I love them, especially from you. Especially when there is no occasion that calls for them. Everyday is a celebration! =D
I think I'm really blessed with the best men (no pun intended) in my life.
I'm blessed with a jolly-happy Daddy @ home who does the sweetest things for me. I'm gonna miss the open-the-fridge-and-find-cut-fruits-daily act! And who is always able to look out for who and what's best for his princess daughter. ;)
I'm blessed with a spiritual Daddy, my mentor and friend who never fails to be around to love and care for me. He sure loves me more than I can imagine, because he always means the best for me! What a man of wisdom!
I'm blessed with a heavenly Daddy God, the one who far surpasses any love any human can give. Truly, in the final analysis, He'll always be my greatest love. It's beyond words how I am thankful for Him.
3 Dads! And super Dads at that! Beat it! And...
I'm blessed with the man who will soon be my lifelong companion, my best friend, my travelling partner, my leader, my guide, my husband...thanks for always being so accomodating, patient and understanding! I'm confident that I'll grow to be a 'better' Zoe with you leading and loving me.

Life is indeed like a box of assorted praline and truffle milk, white & dark chocolates...you'll never know what you'll be picking if there's no picture guide. Some choices makes us giggle with glee, some resign us to an expression of nothingness, yet others will leave our facial muscles contorted in an indescribable manner of...disgust.

Or is it better to get a box of chocolates that are all the same, with no room for guessing what lies erm...beneath the chocolate shell?

What will you choose today? The assorted chocolates, or the single-flavored ones?

As someone who loves stability and predictability, the single-flavored ones seem pretty much like the obvious choice. No room for mistake, it'll always be a given. Yet, without ever taking risks to try the assorted chocolates, I'll never allow room to discover new things I may like. By cutting off the element of surprise and fearing to kiss the frogs (term credits to Victor & Wendy), I'll never be able to find the prince of my dreams. By doing something just because the rest of the world does it that way, I've allowed myself to be limited and denied God the keys to do what He may have all along wanted to do.

I really loved Janet's offering message on Friday. E441 truly is the best CG one can ever lead, and I'm so honored. More about the awesome CG someday...Today, Janet shared about her niece who has a fetish for Ribena pastilles. When presented with the option of a pack of pastilles as opposed to an angbao during CNY, the choice was clear to the little child. Nothing else mattered more than her Ribena pastilles, although that angbao could have gotten her dozens of packs! That's the way that we sometimes can become so short-sighted in our relationship with God too: fixing our eyes on the minor and missing out on the major, on what God's ultimate game plan is.

It's time to put on my God-tinted glasses once again. There is so much to do, to discover what God wants for me and to give Him 100% room to move.
