You need to be able to lead yourself before you can lead others. How to lead yourself? That's a question I've been thinking about. The answer? Relegate the leadership and control over to the One who is able.
I admit it can never be easy to let go & let God, especially when we are used to be in a state of control & stability all our lives, but sometimes allowing ourselves to take that 20- storey- high roller coaster ride or stomach creepy crawlies for the very first time are just what we need to advance forward. We just got to will ourselves.
When the will is challenged, when we lose the control over to someone more able, we move one step closer to our breakthru. Who ever said that medicine was sweet?

What would me without You be like?
How will darkness look if light was never created?
Answer:
VERY scary.

Have been dreaming alot lately..as to whether I still enjoy dreaming, hmm..
The sacrifices of a parent are simply indescribable. The way they sow into a child's life in neverending measure, yet knowing that what they invest in will fail most of the time...& the reason given for that investment? Just so that their beloved child for whom their love will never fail can learn a valuable lesson & grow from there. So a character can be moulded, & the same step would not be taken again.
As a shepherd, we too hold the role of being overseers of the flock. How much have I given & poured my life into my people? Will people be as proud as me of declaring who my leaders are? When I think of my biggest leader, Jesus, it amazes me always how He never stops believing, never stops sowing, & never stops loving.
Despite the risks involved. I want to be more like Jesus in this aspect of my leadership.

Sometimes I do wish I could sleep much longer so that I can dream much more.
Its simply wonderful to dream..just like I dreamt of popo yesterday. She was energetic, happy & had that spring in her step. She looked like when I was staying with her as a kid, walking down the corridor, hanging the clothes up to dry...but more than all that, it was the joy that overflowed out of every part of her. That was awesome to witness. I was prompted to question why did she look so young & happy again. & the response that came back was "She's living a new life now in heaven...made possible by you."
Woke up & cried (coz it was all so sweet) as i laid in bed a while more & thank God for being so real. Miss her so much...

Sydney was great, but greater are the times when Jesus spoke into my life on this trip, (when my sis was asleep, the tv was playing my favourite World Cup match, & I put on my earphones & started to allow Jesus to move through His word)...
Zoe, always remember the great destiny and calling upon your life. You wanted to be like Jesus, & you will be like Jesus. Just as He had to go through 30 years of preparation, but in 3 short years following, He did great things and the name of God's kingdom was lifted up greatly through Him. Many times you have fallen and many times you'll still be falling. In fact, that limp you'll walk with all your life, but they are there so that you can be a vessel of love, and your testimony will tell the world about the goodness of God. Abraham, Isaac & Sarah had faith not because they had already received the rewards of the promises, but because they had a clear vision of its fulfilment that is to come one day. Zoe, you'll be like Shadrach, Meshach & Abed-Nego. You'll walk through fire yet not be burned, because you've gone through & endured a greater fire of the Holy Spirit. Jesus never seemed more real & alive. I stand in awe, so amazed...

I don't want to go anywhere without You, Jesus. Sometimes yes we all do reject Him, forget all about Him, or perhaps choose to upset Him intentionally when we feel so unworthy of His perfect love, but its true...the us without Him is really a lie in itself. Things happen, we get upset, thrown off course many a times, but at the end of the road, we can all trust that He'll be there, standing at the end of our journey, ready to embrace His most beloved with open arms...
This song is dedicated to everyone out there. May your love & desire for Jesus burn even deeper with each growing day. I don't wanna go- by AvalonYou changed my world
You came to me
You drove a passion
In my soul down deep
Lord to follow you in everything
I don't wanna go somewhere
If I know that you're not there
Coz I know the me without You, is a lie
I don't wanna walk that road
Be a million miles from home
Coz my heart needs to be where You are
I don't wanna go
So come whatever
I'll stay with You
I'll walk, You lead me
Call me crazy or a fool
For forever I promise You
Without Your touch
Without Your love
Filling me like the ocean
Your grace is enough
Enough for me
Never wanna go somewhere
If I know that You're not there

I know I'm not there yet. In fact, I'm far from being there, or anywhere else. But I know I'm getting better, day by day, moving on into a higher glory, moving on into perfection.
