Thanks to a friend who provided me with this link:
http://www.amazinggracemovie.com/story_of_amazing_grace.php. Chris Tomlin sings Amazing Grace.
Amazing Grace is a song that holds tremendous meaning for me, a song so simple in melody, yet filled with memories that run deep. Coming from a methodist school, this song was kind of old-school to many of us, and I used to get so bored singing the many verses and chorus over and again.
Yet, it was only when you made that wonderful decision to cry out in your pain and surrender all to Daddy God, to spend your eternity with Him in the most beautiful place, when despite all that life has dealt you with, you came through the strong woman; this made Amazing Grace transform into reality for me.
The grace of God: one that has the power to TRANSFORM wrong to right, one that was there the moment you chose to believe. As I listened to this song play on, a tremendous yearning for your presense flooded me, yet along with it came a sense of tranquil peace which I believe you must have felt you as you took your final journey home, with Him holding your hand.
It has always comforted my soul to know that the no-holds-barred pain that ripped you apart is now TRANSFORMED into nothingness, and you are now with Daddy God in heaven, the place you belong to. Hearing this song play once again, I came to the place where I stood praying the final prayer of God's blessing over your life, where despite the tears that flowed, I knew this was the best thing I had done for you.
This blog was started dedicated to you, and I still remember the promises I've made to you. Losing you was the most difficult thing thus far, but knowing that pain will never be in your life will always be my greatest joy. A year has past and I will always remember the single stalk of carnation I gave you in celebration of Mother's Day the day before you passed on.
Thanks for the love, the memories: you will always remain the woman I love most. I love and really miss you, Popo.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That sav’d a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev’d;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ’d!
Thro’ many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promis’d good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be forever mine.

I'm sure that title caught your attention.
Was just fellowshipping with my colleague during lunch today and sharing with him about Emerge coming up. Being a christian himself and having visited CHC before, he mentioned "City Harvest seems like a place filled with rich people ah?". Suddenly it made me so proud to belong to CHC, not so much because we are rich and would boast of it, but of the good God that we serve. In response to his question, what I found myself telling him was that
"Yes, but the amazing thing is that only a small percentage START out rich, the majority MADE it rich here."
I'm thankful for a God who never fails to pour His blessings upon His people. It can be a coincidence when one makes it rich here, but when even the poorest, most uneducated find their place in the blessings room of God, we know it can only be attributed to a God who loves to see His people prosper.
The windows of heaven are open over the lives of those who seek God for who He really is. Sometimes, it's the simple things in life, the little surprises that God throws at you in the course of your day and the sweet whispers he speaks to cheer you up that makes me most thankful that I made this house my home. These are where my riches lie, in knowing who the source of all blessings is.

If what you are doing NOW is not worth dying for, then what are you living for?
If the way you are doing something always produces the SAME mediocre results, then how about begging to DIFFER?
If all your life you're been a CONSERVATIVE person, how about trying the RADICAL today?
If PREDICTABLE has been the word used to describe you, how about SHOCKING your world today?
If being a FOLLOWER is your reality now, how about trying the life of a LEADER today?
Change is for the TODAY. Change is for those who are bold winners in life. Are you one?
