Trust and obey
For there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey
Sometimes, burdens seem too heavy to carry and bearing the weight of the cross seems too much. What if you are battle-weary yet you still have to fight valiantly, because it is a calling upon your life, and your hand is already stuck to the sword? Sometimes, we have to summon RAW faith to drag ourselves on despite how the price paid may outweigh the reward. Sometimes, frustration renders you so helpless, yet you know you cannot be.
But it goes against the way I am
To put my human nature down
And let the Spirit take control of who I am
But when those trials come
My human nature, shouts the things to do
And God's soft prompting
Can be easily ignored
Sometimes, we just want to stop fighting and settle for defeat. We want to scream, shout, and take leave from the burden. Yet many times, we just cannot. Being someone in the Sales industry, you know you cannot take leave as you want, because in that one day of leave, one may easily say goodbye to a big deal since time is money. In the same way, taking leave just one day in the KOG may mean losing out on the fight against the devil, losing out on standing in the gap for your sheep.
And that's why, we got to keep fighting. We got to be strong and know that it is He who strengthens our hands for battle, who makes us strong for victory. To you, girl, let's keep sowing into our sheep, because our reward will be in heaven. Won't it be the best when Jesus comes up to you in Heaven and says "Well done, my good and faithful servant. In you, I am very well-pleased."? This is a calling far beyond ourselves, let's find our rest in God. I'm here for you too!
